Multilanguage support is becoming increasingly essential as globalization takes hold
This does not only apply if a global corporation operates production sites and service centers across the world,
but also if local vacancies can only be filled with people from other language regions.
Comartis has always placed great value in dealing effectively with foreign languages. The i-qbox Human Performance Suite
is therefore equipped with several features that become worth their weight in gold when used in a multilingual environment:
- The administration section is available in German, English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. These languages not only fulfill the requirements of most of Europe and the U.S., but are suitable for many other parts of the world as well.
- The user interface, which is used by learners, is additionally to the languages in the administration section, available in Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Chinese and Arabic. We will implement translations (approx. 15 pages) supplied for missing languages free of charge.
- Producing comprehensive multimedia learning content for several languages is quite an effort. Such content is therefore not always translated into all of the languages used within a company. i-qbox users can define a personal priority list for languages. If the content is unavailable in the first language specified, but is available in one of the other languages on the list, it will be displayed in the language that has been chosen by the user or adminstrator as the most suitable.
- Do you create tests? Then you are probably familiar with this scenario: You have carefully formulated a whole range of multiple choice answers for a test which has hundreds of questions and is available in countless languages. Evaluation statistics reveal that some of your answer alternatives need to be removed. No problem with Comartis’ i-qbox: If an answer is deleted in the default language, the change is automatically carried through to the foreign-language test questions. This of course also applies to amendments to the many possible fine-tune settings.
- Have you translated vast amounts of text and are worried you need to extract and then re-enter the new data question by question? No fear! The i-qbox Excel Import/Export feature lets you speedily export thousands of question and answer texts for translation and then re-import them automatically into the right questions.
