car manufacturer utilizes i-qbox in phase two of Competence
Management: Worldwide staff knowledge testing
BMW, the international premium car
manufacturer, has been using the i-qbox Human
Performance Suite since 2007 in the field of Competence Management Aftersales (CompAS). The
planning of aftersales training is based on two main elements: The
definition of target competencies as well as the measurement of
actual current competencies of the staff.
Initially the
emphasis was placed on employee self-assessment as well as foreign
assessment by supervisors, followed by a gap analysis and various
other evaluation methods.
In the second, current stage of
development, the i-qbox-e-Testing module has enabled
the introduction of online knowledge tests to identify areas
requiring assisstance, particularly in the field of vocational
competencies. This has enabled BWM Group to create an even more
accurate training needs assessment of its worldwide staff.
