i-qbox at the International Aviation Exposition (ILA) in Berlin:
Comartis presents the latest module Online Recruiting!

ILA Berlin

The ILA (International Aviation Exposition) is one of the oldest and most prominent expositions of aviation and aerospace. This branch of industry, more than ever, depends on highly qualified employees in various fields. To find the appropriate specialists is only possible with quality recruiting, which the i-qbox supports with the module Online-Recruiting available in the coming release.

With i-qbox Online-Recruiting you not only have the possibility to address many more potential candidates, but you can also evaluate their qualifications online. The first contact for candidates is the registration link in the job advertisement. As soon as the candidates have signed up, they complete their contact information to then start a short evaluation, such as a test or self-assessment. The results are immediately available in clearly structured reports.

i-qbox Online-Recruiting reduces cost; in addition, the acceleration of recruitment processes minimizes the risk that suitable candidates accept offers from competitors.

Basic advise for experts and authors.
Coloured Dice or Good Test

A test has to be 'valid' and 'reliable' to fulfill its purpose.

Validity is assured if a test really measures the relevant performance. If learning objectives and performance goals are deduced from practical work, the basis for validity is given. Since learning objectives require interpretation even if they are carefully formulated, we suggest to develop test questions in the next step. The approved test questions then serve as a guideline of learning objectives for the developers of training objects.

Reliability of a test is guaranteed if candidates of the same level achieve the same results under comparable conditions. This also has to hold when variations of the same test or a test with a random selection of content is given. We suggest always separating assessments covering highly varied topics into several tests. Make sure that within a test the distribution of core topics and the complexity and taxonomy within core topics is identical for all candidates.

Through the analysis of tests, you may draw conclusions about the optimization potential in mediating the test. If you are planning to use tests for inferences, in addition to top-objectives also test sensitive sub-objectives. A small number of questions about mandatory previous knowledge, may give an insight if unsatisfactory results have to be attributed to gaps in previous knowledge.

Good tests do not only provide solid results, but also have a positive effect on the creation of future learning programs. Learn how the i-qbox Human Performance Suite supports you in creating reliable tests.

i-qbox Smart Feature of the Day

Creating tests with the i-qbox:
Combine randomness with reliability

Reliable tests must be thematically identical and similarly difficult. At the same time it is often required that not all candidates shall receive the same test. In i-qbox e-Testing, both demands may be met!

1. Compose tests with several sections

i-qbox Question PoolsA test is composed of several sections (pools), with each section being consistent in itself. The questions in a section correspond in terms of topic, taxonomy and difficulty level. For instance, the first section inquires only about knowledge, the second section tests the more challenging understanding and the third section tests practical application. To calculate the total result, the score of each section can be weighted according to its difficulty level.

2. Selection of questions per section: fix or random

i-qbox Test Properties

In order to compose different versions of a test with the same distribution and difficulty level, allocate a number of questions to each section, from which only a predefined number of questions will be presented randomly. Questions marked as mandatory will always appear. In case the questions in a section do not correspond in terms of taxonomy, score or time required, the congruence of one or more criteria can be enforced.

3. Sequence of questions per section: fix or random

You can choose to present questions according to their sequence in the editor or in random order. If the answers per question are presented in random order as well, a very high number of test versions are possible without losing reliability.
Would you like to compose valid and reliable tests? The i-qbox is your tool to go!
