i-qBox Virtual Classroom – powered by Netviewer and Comartis

Reinhard Anton, Vice President Business Development, answers first questions about the partnership and the product:

Netviewer
i-qBox

Netviewer and Comartis have entered a partnership. What is the goal of this alliance?
Both companies aim to intensify their cooperation on an international level and provide customers with high-quality, interactive e-learning solutions. Over the past months, Netviewer and Comartis have seamlessly integrated their solutions – the collaboration solution one2meet and the i-qBox e-learning solution – into a new e learning solution called i-qBox Virtual Classroom.

What are the benefits for customers?
Customers can now purchase a comprehensive e-learning solution which allows them to perform international and decentralized seminars at different locations. This means reduced environmental pollution caused by travel and also decreased travel time and costs.

What features does i-qBox Virtual Classroom provide?
We have accomplished a seamless integration into the i-qBox Modul Facility Management module. This enables planning, administration and implementation of virtual seminars and courses. Comartis’ i-qBox Virtual Classroom allows shared viewing and editing of any software applications. Different learning groups can discuss and edit documents live from their own computers through a “Whiteboard”. Of course all necessary tools such as file transfer, chat, speech request signal, video and note boards are available.

What were the motivations for the partnership of the two companies?
New and existing i-qBox customers have expressed great interest in an integrated, interactive e-learning solution. We have already received first orders. From a strategic point of view, the partnership is very interesting for Netviewer and Comartis: both companies are growing very dynamically, expanding internationally and addressing similar target groups.

Raiffeisen Group Switzerland – Kaderentwicklungsprozess KEP (executive development process)

Raiffeisen KEP The Kaderentwicklungsprozess KEP (executive development process) of the Raiffeisen Group Switzerland aims to systematically promote and develop employees with development potential in a specific target role or career.

Up to now, many of the process activities were performed manually. This was very time consuming. Last autumn, Raiffeisen instructed Comartis to map parts of the KEP in the i-qBox. After an intense conceptual phase, initial extensions were implemented in the first quarter of 2007.

In conjunction with the KEP the following i-qBox functions were added:

  • Global validity of individual learning objects
  • Import interface for KEP candidates
  • Wizard for the classification of KEP candidates
  • Extended email function
  • Classification file
  • Attendance control

The KEP will be initiated soon at Raiffeisen.
