Testing in Turbulent Times – the benefit of training assessments in the current economic situation
Minimizing
training and education budgets while maximizing effect is never more important than in the present turbulent economic
situation. Learning executives, more than ever before, need to be prepared to instruct the senior management about
the short- and long-term impact of training measurements and the optimization of education budgets in regard to strategic
business goals.
While even high-performance organizations strive to reduce their training costs, they often fail to align their employee's
learning process and performance with their strategic vision. When it comes to long-term strategic programs for personnel
development and high value performance-driven learning processes, such as onboarding or sales training, they do not save
resources. In fact, these companies focus on measuring the effectivity of continuing education as a possibility to localize
and constrain inefficient procedures, inevitably occurring in bureaucratic structures.
Following are three ways
to increase value and reduce overall costs in this harsh economic
climate: - Training Needs Assessment: map the actual need for continuing education in detail, even in rapidly changing environments
- Blended Learning: minimize the cost of continuing education with the proper mix of online and instructor led courses
- Training Evaluation: determine the cost-benefit ratio of your training measurements and correlate it with your operating
profit
In the coming year, economic uncertainty will
probably continue to play a role in business decisions for you and
your customers. But sometimes, economic crisis is the mother of
great invention. It is a known fact that in tough times, those who
achieve more results with less resources will come off as winners.

Reduction of corporate costs through automatic test optimization
The number of questions in a test is a financial issue, especially for large tests which include a lot of users.
Calculation example: a question with an average time to answer of 1 minute means a workload of about
80 hours for a company with 5 000 employees.
The i-qbox
makes it possible to identify – after an initial test with a small sample group – those
questions that have no statistical connection with the overall result and the classification "Passed".
These questions can then be automatically removed from the test without jeopardizing the reliability of
the final assessment.
Comartis way – the cost-saving way!
