After a successful six month pilot project, Mercedes-Benz Global Training will as of the 1st of July 2010 use Comartis‘ Human Performance Suite e-testing and e-Survey modules for its employee assessments and certifications. To begin with around 50,000 employees in the areas of Sales and After-Sales of Mercedes-Benz‘s retail network in Germany and UK will use the system.

As of 2011 a worldwide roll-out is to follow. Comartis‘ Human Performance Suite, which is integrated with the company’s SABA system, is then to become an integral part of all employee assessments and certifications of Mercedes-Benz Global Training. With a world-wide deployment such as this, the system’s ability to automatically synchronize and update content across an unlimited number of languages will be a key benefit.

The main use of the Human Performance Suite at Mercedes-Benz Global Training will be to facilitate the company’s skill and competence management processes in the areas of Sales and After-Sales as well as enable a consistent inspection of the sustainability of the deployed qualification measures.

To meet the special requests of Mercedes-Benz Global Training, a new question type was implemented, as well as a function, which compensates for correct answers given by chance. Furthermore, a new analysis method was created, which according to the answers given to multiple choice questions allocates plus or minus points.

To ensure the fairness of the examinations, questions can be collated within a test so that a ratio of easy, average, or difficult questions are taken from the question pool. The ratio having been set by an examiner.
